Shocking Latest COVID-19 Stats

COVID-19 cases are increasing at an alarming rate in the country, with three provinces already confirmed officially in a third wave.
South Africa has recorded 13 246 new Coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours alone.
A further 136 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing the total to 58 223 since the start of the pandemic.
The figures represent the highest number of daily cases and positivity rate recorded since January this year.
Meanwhile, the South African Medical Association (SAMA) says it fully supports a temporary waiver of trade-related intellectual property rights, to increase global access to COVID-19 vaccines.
