Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma says the Disaster Management Act may still be used if the country’s Covid-19 cases escalate.

She briefed the media on Tuesday, following president Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement of the end of the national state of disaster.

Dlamini-Zuma says the current environment allows for the relaxation of some regulations.

However she has stressed that it is still everyone’s duty to ensure the country does not return to its former state.
