SIU Raids National Lotteries Commission Offices

The Special Investigation Unit has raided the offices of the National Lotteries Commission.
This follows allegations of corruption and maladministration at the commission, which prompted President Cyril Ramaphosa to authorise the SIU investigation.
It is alleged that the national lottery has been misusing funds that were meant for charities and non profitable organisations since 2014.
SIU Spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago says they are working with the Hawks as they are facing stacks of documentation that they have to go through

Meanwhile, National lotteries Commision spokesperson Ndivuhuo Mafela says they welcome the investigation.
However Mafela says they remain confident that they will come out of this investigation clean.
