Police Minister Bheki Cele says a partnership between police and communities will play a pivotal role in the fight against crime.

In a effort to fight crime, the minister has created Izimbizo Community Engagements,  for the public to comment on crime related concerns and also find solutions in building safer communities.

Cele says community members can always assist police in the fight against crime and in bringing criminals to book, pleading for assistance in the search for the killers of six men who were gunned down at Umlazi earlier this week.

He says crime prevention operations are underway and communities must abide by the law or face the music.
