Solidarity says large scale job losses in the country cannot be mainly attributed to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration says with artificial intelligence, the revolution and automation it would be difficult to stop job losses.

It believes workers in the construction, household and agricultural industries will suffer the most.

Solidarity’s, Marius Croucamp, says the time has come for government to act in an accountable way and to abandon its populist policy in the interests of all workers.
