South African Medical Association Embarks On A Men’s Health Campaign

The South African Medical Association (SAMA) is on a mission this month to encourage men to get into the habit of seeing a healthcare provider on a regular basis.

As June is Men’s Health Month SAMA aims to encourage boys & men to take charge of their overall health by implementing healthy living decisions.

SAMA Chairperson Mvuyisi Mzukwa says the purpose of Men’s Health Month is to heighten awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection of diseases like cancer, heart disease, and depression.

Mzukwa says the problem is that men often let their egos get the better of them.
