Kaizer Chiefs coach Aurthur Zwane believes the latest edition of the Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates will be good for South African football. The Soweto rivals will meet in the semi finals of the Nedbank Cup, after both sides got hard fought quarterfinal wins.
The Bucaneers had to go all the way against ABC Motsepe league side Dondol Stars, to win 5-4 on penalties after scoring a goal each in 90 minutes and extra-time. Amakhosi needed a Yusurf Maart penalty in extra-time to record a 2-1 win against Royal AM that got them closer to their first piece of silverware in 8 years. The Soweto sides are in great form at this point in the season, Pirates are unbeaten in their last 6 matches in all competition, while Amakhosi have not tasted defeat in the last 7 fixtures in all competitions.
Zwane says Chiefs are excited about the derby clash due to the great form that both sides are in, and the fixture will be good for South African football.
