Teacher unions welcome borehole programme in schools

Teachers Unions Sadtu and Natu in the province have applauded the provincial Education department for the borehole programme in schools.
The department has launched the programme in Khulani special school in uMkhanyakude district north of KZN.
The project will assist more than 1000 schools that have no water infrastructure.
Sadtu provincial secretary, Nomarashiya Caluza, says the programme is welcomed.

Meanwhile, Natu general secretary, Cynthia Buns, says the projects must assist rural communities without water as well.
