Teffo’s Withdrawal Is Another Setback For The Meyiwa’s – Gerrie Nel

The Meyiwa family’s lawyer, Gerrie Nel, says it is unfortunate that defence lawyer Advocate Malesela Teffo withdrew from the Senzo Meyiwa murder case.

Nel says the matter will now have to be delayed until a new counsel is appointed.

Teffo shocked the High Court in Pretoria yesterday when he withdrew as counsel for accused number one to four.

Nel says they will now have to convince the court that they need Legal Aid South Africa’s assistance after they rejected legal aid before and opted for Teffo.
