Police Minister Bheki Cele says he feels vindicated after another court has ruled against a report by Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane.
The report accused Cele and the SAPS of gross negligence, improper conduct and maladministration in failing to protect two whistle-blowers from KwaZulu-Natal.
Mkhwebane also ordered President Cyril Ramaphosa to reprimand Cele for what she called an error in judgment.
Cele’s spokesperson, Lirandzu Themba, says the minister remains empathetic to the plight of witnesses.
