The probability of load shedding remains high for the week ahead

Eskom says the power system remains constrained and vulnerable and the probability of load shedding remains for the week ahead.

Good progress has been made over the weekend to replenish diesel for open cycle gas turbines and to increase water levels at the pumped storage schemes.

Eskom says although the objective is not to implement load shedding, the generating plant performance continues to be unpredictable and any unexpected shift could result in load shedding at short notice.
