The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) says it is set to uncover more corruption and maladministration at Eskom.
In December last year president Cyril Ramaphosa signed a new proclamation and amended two others.
This authorised the SIU to investigate allegations of corruption and maladministration at the troubled power utility, and allow it to recover funds which were lost due to unlawful transactions.
SIU head, Andy Mothibi, told Newzroom Afrika that the new proclamation will give them more time to continue digging into allegations of criminality of Eskom employees.
