The Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) says it plans to invest more than R15 billion in infrastructure at the country’s ports over the next 7 years.

The company says it aims to prioritise capital projects that will create future capacity and create jobs.

It says the project will begin with investments in western region ports, including Mossel Bay, Saldanha and Cape Town ports.

TNPA western region managing executive advocate Phyllis Difeto says the key projects all form part of the port’s infrastructure development plan for 2022/23.
