The Tourism Business Council of South Africa describes the latest unabridged birth certificate waiver for foreign minors as a victory for inbound tourism.
Home Affairs Minister, Aaron Motsoaledi, last week signed the waiver which allows foreign children to enter the country without carrying additional supporting documents such as birth certificates and consent letters.
The council’s CEO, Tshifhiwa Tshivhengwa, says there is still a long way to go when it comes to getting the unabridged birth certificate requirement for SA minors waived.
