Transport Department Confirms Driving Licence Machine Back Up And Running

The Department of Transport says the country’s only machine able to print driving license cards has been repaired.
The machine was taken out of production last month in order to replace a broken part.
The department’s spokesperson, Collen Msibi, says following the completion of the repair work, the machine had to be tested for another two weeks before it was able to go into full production.
He adds that there is a catch-up plan to address the backlog.
