U-Maya Ubongela U-Zondo

Supreme Court of Appeal President, Mandisa Maya, has congratulated incoming Chief Justice Raymond Zondo on his appointment, saying she is committed to working with him in the exercise of judicial authority.

The Judicial Service Commission had recommended Maya for the position, however, president Cyril Ramaphosa appointed Zondo. The president has however recommended Maya as Deputy Chief Justice.

Maya says she has full confidence in Zondo as a leader in the judiciary.

She adds that she does not doubt that the contribution he will continue to make in our jurisprudence and administration of justice will strengthen and move the South African judiciary forward.
