U-Motshekga Uphika Eka-30%

Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga says she is concerned that there are people who are saying 30% is the pass mark in this country.
Motshekga had been briefing media on the re-opening of schools for the 2022 academic year.
It is the first day of school for learners in inland provinces this morning, with Motshekga expected to conduct monitoring and oversight visits of various schools.
One SA Movement leader Mmusi Maimane is one of the people who came out calling for an end to what he calls a 30% pass mark for SA learners.
Motshekga says this is not true.
