KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala says the provincial government will continue to beef up security to ensure that the chaos that ensued in July last year does not repeat itself.
He has been speaking at the opening of the provincial government’s first ever Lekgotla.
The Lekgotla meets to plan forward into the financial year and the legislative session which is unfolding over the year 2022/23.
Zikalala says the economy of the province is still reeling from the devastating effects of the unrest.
