Senzo Meyiwa’s long-time friend Mthokozisi Thwala has apologised to the Pretoria high court after contradicting himself and accusing the defence advocate Charles Mnisi of putting words in his mouth.

Thwala has been on the stand for 2 weeks and today he has returned to continue and detail his version of the events of when Meyiwa was shot and killed.

Meyiwa was killed in 2014 at the home of his then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo in Vooslorus

Before the adjournment earlier on Thwala told the court that the intruders demanded cash and cellphones in Isizulu but they sounded Sotho.

He later retracted that statement which prompted Mnisi to ask for an adjournment to go through the records.
