Labour and Employment minister Thulas Nxesi says foreign nationals cannot be allocated business visas and amendments going forward.

Nxesi has been briefing media on the draft of National Labour Policy in Gauteng, which has been released for public comment.

He says one of the key roles of the policy is to limit foreign nationals from establishing SMMEs and trading in some sectors of the South African economy, adding that they are working with the department of Home Affairs regarding this governmental intervention.

Nxesi adds that for skills required for employment opportunities locals should also be prioritised.
