UK-EU Brexit Trade Treaty Passes into UK Law

The post-Brexit trade deal between the United Kingdom and European Union takes effect at 11 tonight, after it was signed into law.
This comes after the House of Lords gave the bill an unopposed third reading on Wednesday evening, hours after MPs had voted it through by 521 votes to 73.
This agreement takes the UK out of the EU’s single market and customs union, but ends the possibility of tariffs on goods.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson says the country’s destiny is now firmly in its own hands whereas opponents insist Britain will be worse off than it was while in the EU.
