Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula has expressed his heartfelt condolences to deputy minister Sindisiwe Chikunga for her loss.

Chikunga lost six relatives, her son, daughter-in-law and four grandchildren in a road accident on Sunday.

According to Mbalula, the tragic loss has strengthened their resolution to redouble efforts to deal with the scourge of fatalities on the roads.

Spokesperson Lwazi Khoza says further details about the accident will be released, once full information is established from local authorities.
