Former ANC President Thabo Mbeki says the ANC needs to take responsibility of its broken promises.
He said this engaging with business and professionals in Parktown, Johannesburg on Thursday evening.
This is part of the ruling party’s election campaign ahead of the local government elections, on the first of next month.
Mbeki says the ANC makes all sorts of promises in the manifesto but argues who is going to pay for all of that, and where is the money coming from.
Mbeki says the ANC needs to ensure that it selects quality people to lead in municipalities across the country.
