Unemployment Rate Increases to 30.8% in SA

South Africa’s unemployment rate has increased by 7, 5% to 30, 8% in the 3rd quarter of 2020 compared with the 2nd quarter.
This is according to the latest Quarterly Labour Force Survey released by Stats SA today.
Unemployment increased substantially by 2,2 million to 6,5 million compared to quarter 2 of 2020, resulting in an increase of 2,8 million in the number of people in the labour force.
