The South African Transport and Allied Workers Union (SATAWU) and The United National Transport Union (UNTU) have rejected the 5% wage offer tabled by Transnet.
The unions say the revised offer is too low and remains below the inflation rate which stands at 7.6%.
SATAWU and UNTU affiliated workers are demanding a wage increase of between 12 and 13.5%.
KwaZulu-Natal SATAWU Secretary Nothemba Dlamini says the strike is continuing until the employer tables something that is reasonable.
