Unisa students urged to register online

The University of South Africa is urging all students to make use of online facilities for registration purposes.

Members of education and health union Nehawu, and the Academic and Professional Staff Association downed tools last week over salary increases.

On Monday the South African Union of Students, called for a national shutdown of all universities over issues of historical debt and registration fees.

Unisa spokesperson, Lusani Netshitomboni, says the strike has hampered operations at campuses across the country.
