UniZulu closed following violent student protests

The University of Zululand council says it’s concerned by the violent student protests at the University’s KwaDlangezwa campus north of the province.
The university yesterday announced the closure of the campus, and directed all students residing on campus to vacate the residence.

Meanwhile students representatives at the University say they are concerned about the suspension of academics.
During the protests a police vehicle and a university’s bus were torched and other structures destroyed.
The Democratic Alliance Student organisation’s regional chairperson, Sthabelo Ntshangase, says they concerned that students will be behind with their studies.
