ActionSA has terminated its KwaZulu-Natal Chairperson, Makhosi Khoza’s, membership with immediate effect.

The party instituted a disciplinary hearing against her for putting the organisation into disrepute and for causing disunity.

The organisation’s Ethics and Disciplinary Committee found Khoza guilty on all charges and recommending the termination of her membership.

“Her loyalties do not lie with ActionSA and instead, lie with aspiring to grow her own political aspirations, at the great cost of her constituency and ActionSA,” the party said.

She has previously accused the party leadership of targeting her on suspicion of colluding with the ANC in Ethekwini.

Khoza left the ANC in 2017, and formed African Democratic Change (ADeC) in 2019, before joining Herman Mashaba’s party.

ActionSA’s National Spokesperson Lerato Ngobeni says Khoza hasn’t challenged the evidence brought before the panel, which found she’d been prone to believing conspiracy theories and aggressive behaviour.
