Sekhukhune United midfielder Sibusiso Vilakazi says the Babina Noko players are excited by the prospect of making history and lifting the clubs first piece of silverware, when they take on Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup final at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday. Babina Noko have already made history by reaching their first ever cup final since the club was established in 2020, by beating Stellenbosch FC via a penalty shoot-out win in the Semi finals.

The Guateng side is undefeated against the Buccaneers this season, with the two league matches ending in a 2-0 win in favour of Babina Noko and 1-1 draw the last time the two sides met, but this group of Orlando Pirates players will come in with more cup final experience having already captured the MTN 8 title this seaon. Vilakazi will also bring his vast experience having also won the Nedbank Cup in his time with Mamelodi Sundowns. He believes the Sekhukhune United players are excited by the opportunity to make history for the three year old PSL club, but should be cautious and play the match and not the occasion when they meet Pirates in the final.
