Violence at schools declared national crisis

The National Department of education has declared violence at schools a national crisis.
This after a matric pupil was stabbed six times by a classmate at Mmabatho, near Mafikeng in North West.
And here in KZN, a student from Eastwood Secondary School was laid to rest yesterday after he was stabbed to death while trying to protect a female student who was also a victim to the stabbing
Education MEC, Kwazi Mshengu, has expressed concern about the spate of violent incidents at schools and says they are working on security interventions.
