What Are Parties Hoping for from SONA 2022?

With President Cyril Ramaphosa expected to deliver his State Of the Nation Address tomorrow, political parties and other organisations have started stating their expectations from his speech.

SONA 2022 will be held at the Cape Town City Hall for the first time in history. A total of 298 members of Parliament will be seated at the city hall for tomorrow’s opening of Parliament.

National Assembly Speaker, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula says among dignitaries who have confirmed their attendance is former president Thabo Mbheki, former deputy president Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka and former speaker Baleka Mbethe.
