The African National Congress Women’s League National Task Team has distanced itself from an article published by an online news site criticizing President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The site quoted former ANC Women’s league president Bathabile Dlamini saying the survival of the party depends on the removal of Ramaphosa.
She’s accusing Ramaphosa of destroying the party’s various leagues.
The women’s league was disbanded three months ago when it was clear that it would endorse a female candidate as the ANC president.
The MKMVA was disbanded following the death of its president Kebby Maphotsoe.
Speaking to Newzroom Africa on the matter Dlamini says it’s true that without the ANC women’s league, women are not represented.
