Outa Says Lip Service Wont Undo State Capture

The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (OUTA) says the country needs more than lip service to undo and prevent state capture.

President Cyril Ramaphosa on Sunday outlined how the government plans to implement recommendations of the state capture commission of inquiry.

Outa’s CEO, Wayne Duvenage, says they believe the outcome of the African National Congress’s electoral conference could have an impact on the implementation of the recommendations, depending on who is voted in.

He says this may be the reason why Ramaphosa missed a good opportunity to introduce meaningful action now.
