Zulu Worried by Lack of Youth Empowerment

Social Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu says all sectors must work with government to empower youth in the country.

Zulu had been speaking during the official opening of Blaauwbosch Youth and Skills Centre in Newcastle, northern KZN.

According to stats SA youth Unemployment Rate in South Africa averaged 54.21 percent from 2013 until 2021, reaching an all time high of 64.4% in the second quarter of 2021.

Zulu says it’s disheartening that many young people end up using drugs because they could not get support from families and society.
