Finance Minister, Tito Mboweni, says former president Jacob Zuma needs to seize the opportunity of telling his side of the story and proving his innocence in a court of law.

The former president returns to court, for his fraud and corruption trial tomorrow.

The Pietermaritzburg High Court will then hear the application for state prosecutor Billy Downer to recuse himself from the case.

Zuma and French arms manufacturer, Thales, are facing charges related to the controversial multi-billion-rand arms deal concluded in the late 1990s.

Speaking on BBC’s HARDtalk, Mboweni says nobody should be above the law.
