Former President Jacob Zuma is expected to fork out an amount of 6 to 10 million rands in legal costs.

Zuma appeared in the Constitutional Court to appeal cost order granted by the High court in 2017.

This was accumulated when Zuma attempted to stop the release of former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela’s State of Capture report in 2016.

However, Zuma has argued that this order against him was given at a time when he was acting in capacity as president therefore, he shouldn’t be liable to pay from his own pocket.

Handing down the Judgement, Acting Chief Justice Sisi Khampepe granted the matter be struck off the roll with costs.
