The Supreme court of Appeal in Bloemfontein is hearing the arguments in the former president Jacob Zuma medical parole matter.

His attorney will square off with the Afriforum, the Helen Suzman foundation and the Democratic Alliance in court.

This to battle it out over the Pretoria High Court’s December ruling setting aside the decision to grant the former president medical parole and sending him back to prison to serve out the rest of his sentence.

The medical parole advisory board recommended against Zuma’s release but former prison boss, Arthur Fraser, overruled it, a move that the High Court ultimately found was unlawful.

African National Congress officials have started flocking in their numbers in support of Zuma.

One of the KwaZulu-Natal regions, Musa Dladla region officials have also come to support the former president.

Musa Dladla regional secretary Nathi Madanga says they’re still going to mobilise for him in the region.
