Gagasi FM’s current affairs guru is on the pulse of SA’s issues regarding politics, government and matters affecting normal citizens.
His ability to identify crucial issues and questions to pose to his guests is a skill that places him amongst the crème de la crème of SA’s top journalists. Spending time with family, eating out and trying new dishes and restaurants is Alex’s idea of fun.
He values trustworthiness and integrity which is what shapes the way he conducts himself in interactions with others as well as how he operates in business and personal life. Empangeni is where Alex did his primary school years right up to high school.
His effortless ability to present in both Zulu & English as a reporter and a talk show host as seen on the South African Broadcasting Corporation’s (SABC)’s KZN Tonight and on Ukhozi FM’s current affairs shows, Alex certainly makes intelligence look sexy.
Alex was roped in to doing the breakfast show when the station was revamped from P4 Radio. Prior to joining Gagasi FM Alex worked for the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development as the MEC’s spokesman and departmental PRO. Without sounding pompous and arrogant Alex humbly believes that versatility that he has earned over the years, has brought his name to a variety of brands.
‘Indaba‘ which is on Monday-Thursday between 7pm-8pm, it’s a current affairs talk show that deals with community issues and serves as a platform to interface authority and the people.
The lifestyle segment of the show deals with entrepreneurship, culture and tradition. In the industry Alex sees himself mentoring the up and coming practitioners and eventually owning a content- producing hub which will also bring solutions to clients.
