Felix Hlophe is one of the best comedians and entertainers in South Africa. He was born and bred in Umlazi and he has made his mark with his incredible and unique style of engaging with his audience and to deliver his comedy sessions.
In school as a township boy he knew he was born to entertain and make people laugh. Felix is comfortable in his own skin and lets nobody get in his way. He has a way of finding humour in everything that happens around him.
Just like his radio career, his stand-up comedy career is snowballing. A glance at street poster ads alone tells you how in demand he is with Hlophe being booked week in and week out for different shows.
“It’s a sort of fulfilment and sense of accomplishment that you get when you’ve made a difference and you’ve entertained people… It’s a gift of love, it’s a gift from God. It keeps me going and to know that I’ve made a person’s day a tad bit better.”
Felix also does his own one man stand up comedy shows and has featured in some of the best comedy shows in South Africa such as Mzansi Magic comedy session, 99% Zulu Comedy show just to name a few. A proudly KwaZulu-Natal man, Felix loves that KZN humour is different.
He has a great sense of style and his confidence is transparent in his taste in fashion. He is currently learning how to fly aeroplanes and he is enjoying it thoroughly.
