Khaya Mthethwa was born and raised in Durban Kwa-Zulu Natal to pastors Themba and Lulu Mthethwa who are founders of Umlazi Oasis Fellowship Centre. This is where it all began for Khaya as he was the music director.
Khaya holds diploma in Project Management – Business management and is currently studying Theology. He is also a motivational speaker, a life coach and represents different brands to reach out to people across the continent at large.
Khaya is passionate about the youth of this country having started his own foundation called The Khaya Mthethwa Arts foundation which serves to speak into young people’s lives and inspire them to build careers and lives that are full of self-respect, and purpose driven goals.
Khaya Mthethwa is known to us now as a South African singer-songwriter, composer, musician, arranger and a multi skilled instrumentalist. He has performed alongside renowned musician like Kirk Franklin, Bryon Cage, Miguel, Mthunzi Namba, Ntokozo Mbambo, VaShawn Mitchell and Israel Houghton, to mention a few.
He was also an active member of Joyous Celebration since 2009.
