The future of Afro-House has a name, and it is Argento Dust. The Durban-born producer, DJ and hitmaker officially announces his powerful new single “Ayxabene”, a star-studded anthem featuring Zee Nxumalo, Blxckie, Kususa and Section Five, released today, 9th October 2026. The single serves as the lead single to his upcoming genre-defying EP ‘No Foot Print’, set for release on 23rd October 2026.
If there was ever a moment that signals the arrival of the next big thing in Afro-House, this is it.

WHO IS ARGENTO DUST?
Argento Dust is Minenhle Siphelelo Ndlazi, born in Umlazi, Durban. He is not a newcomer – he is a 15-year veteran who has been shaping the sound of Durban since 2010.
“I’m Minenhle, Siphelelo Ndlazi born in Durban Umlazi, I do production and event. I started making music in 2010.”
His CV reads like a who’s who of South African dance music. He has worked with *Shimza, Black Coffee, Oskido, Vanco, Caiiro, Da Capo, Section Five, Dlala Thukzin, Funky Qla, Zee Nxumalo and more. From underground Gqom basements to international Afro-House stages, Argento Dust has earned his stripes.
FROM SILVER DUST TO ARGENTO DUST: THE NAME BEHIND THE BRAND
Many knew him as Silver Dust in the early days, dominating the Gqom and Deep House scene. But evolution demanded a name that could travel.
“When I started making music my stage name was Silver Dust. That time I was doing Gqom music and deep house. In 2015 I fell in love with Afro house, I wanted a different bold name that can work internationally. So I translated Silver to Italian, that’s how I got Argento Dust.”
Argento – Silver in Italian. Dust – the grit, the ground, the dancefloor. The name itself is a fusion of elegance and edge, perfectly describing his sound.

WHY HE LEFT GQOM FOR AFRO-HOUSE
Argento Dust’s story is deeply rooted in Gqom.
“I started making Gqom in 2010 then in 2013 we formed a group that was called House Junkies. That’s when I started working with Qla, Sting Ray, Space Network, 2boy, Dexter, CampMasters.”
He was there at the birth of Gqom. But his heart was being pulled elsewhere. His influences were wider – “House, Jazz, tribal music” – and his idols were global.
“When I was in high school I used to listen to Black Coffee, Culoe De Song, Shimza, Black Motion, Rocco. When I listen to their music I was always inspired and seeing them travelling the world playing music. In 2015 Shimza gave me an opportunity to work with him and the rest is history.”
That opportunity with Shimza was the catalyst. It showed him that a boy from Umlazi could speak a global language through Afro-House. He traded the heavy minimalism of Gqom for the soulful, spiritual, and worldly sound of Afro-House, without ever forgetting his roots. This is why his Afro-House hits harder – it has Gqom DNA.
This transition is what positions Argento Dust as the next big thing. He is not just an Afro-House producer; he is a Gqom pioneer who understands rhythm at its rawest, now applying it to the most exported genre in Africa.
THE SINGLE: “AYXABENE”
“Ayxabene” – a Nguni word that asks “They are not fighting / arguing?” – is more than a song, it’s a statement. It’s a soulful, anthemic, dancefloor-ready record that brings together four different powerhouses.
How was this dream collaboration born?
“The song was done in 2025 mid-year but we were not sure what was missing on it. Then we had an idea to add Blxckie and Zee Nxumalo.”
“The idea came about from one of our industry colleagues and they assisted us in getting Zee and Blxckie as part of the features.”
● Zee Nxumalo, brings her chart-topping, soulful vocal power – the golden voice of Afro-House.
● Blxckie, the Somnyama superstar, adds his genre-bending rap-sung charisma and youth appeal.
● Kususa, the Afro-House duo known for their spiritual and deep productions, bring their signature anointing.
● Section Five, his long-time collaborators, anchor the record with soulful depth.
“Ayxabene” is not just a feature list; it’s a cultural convergence. It bridges Gqom, Afro-House, Hip-Hop and Soul – exactly what Argento Dust stands for.
THE PROJECT: ‘NO FOOT PRINT’ EP
“Ayxabene” is just the beginning. It is the lead single to his upcoming EP titled ‘No Foot Print’, dropping 23rd October 2026.
Why ‘No Foot Print’? Because this project is about freedom, leaving no trace, exploring without boundaries.
“The project is called No Foot Prints, so people only know me as an Afro house producer. On this project I’m doing house music, I’m expressing myself by showing other types of music that I can do. We have different taste of music – Afro House, Afro with Gqom elements, 3 step sound and Funk house.”
‘No Foot Print’ will be a revelation. Listeners should expect an Argento Dust they have never heard before – an artist unboxed. The EP features an even wider array of collaborators including Kususa, Section Five, Blxckie, Zee Nxumalo, Dlala Thukzin, Funky Qla, Bokkie, Belinda, Bukeka, Vertic, Drega, Village Guru, and Yandisa Ntusi.
This is not just an EP. It’s a declaration that Argento Dust is not just an Afro-House producer, he is a House music visionary.
THE NEXT BIG THING IN AFRO-HOUSE
In an era where Afro-House is dominating global stages from Ibiza to New York, Argento Dust is perfectly positioned. He has the history (15 years in the game), the mentorship (Black Coffee, Shimza, Oskido), the roots (Umlazi, Gqom), the sound (soulful, tribal, jazzy), and now, the star power.
With “Ayxabene”, he is stepping from behind the boards to the forefront – not just as a beatmaker, but as a curator of culture.
Argento Dust’s “Ayxabene” ft. Zee Nxumalo, Blxckie, Kususa & Section Five drops 9th October 2026 on all DSPs.
