GAGASI FM 18TH BIRTHDAY COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Before you enter the competition, please read the competition rules below:
2. By entering the competition and/or accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The outcome of the competition is subject to the decision of the judge, presenter, or organizer of the competition, whose decision is final. No negotiations and or correspondence will be entered into after the fact.
3. Participants/listeners enter and take part in competitions at their own risk and Radio iGagasi 99.5FM (Pty) Ltd bears no responsibility for any loss, damage, or harm suffered as a result of participation in any of Radio iGagasi 99.5FM (Pty) Ltd’s competition.
4. The Gagasi FM 18th Birthday Competition is brought to you by Gagasi FM. The competition starts at 00:00 on Monday, 11 March 2024, and ends at 23:59 on Friday, 25 March 2024 on Gagasi FM.
5. The Competition will be played on The Uprising (6 am – 9 am) and Gagasi FM Drive (3 pm – 6 pm).
6. To enter the competition, listeners to send #YearOfTheGOAT via the Gagasi FM App.
7. First Round: Every day, week commencing 11 March, a selected listener will be called on air, and has to answer a true or false question. If they answer correctly, they qualify for the second round. Second Round: The 20 finalists will be paired, and each pair will go head-to-head on the Grand Grand Quiz / Let’s Get Quizzical. Each winning finalist from each pair will go onto the semi-finals (10 semi-finalists), and go on to the third round. Third Round: The 10 semi-finalists will participate in a head-to-head general knowledge quiz, where the 5 finalists who get the highest points are entered into the final round. Final Round: There will be 5 boxes, and the top 5 finalists will participate in a pick a box challenge. Only one box holds the prize – the Zanzibar postcard represents the prize.
8. Prize: A luxury trip to Zanzibar for 2 valued at R50 000. The winner must take the trip any time between April -September 2024. The trip will be booked and paid for by Gagasi. The winner and guest will need to apply for a passport at their own cost. Any visa costs will be paid for by the winner. Gagasi FM will pay for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner for the duration of the trip. Alcoholic beverages and any other bill items outside of the will be on the winner’s account. Gagasi FM will pay for economy flights from King Shaka to Zanzibar and 3-star accommodation. Transportation to and from King Shaka Airport will be for the winner’s own cost. If the winner wishes to visit other places that are outside the trip details, the cost of the additional travel will be for the winner’s own account.
9. Winners will be notified telephonically, and the judge’s decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. The Prize is not transferable to another person, nor can it be exchanged for cash.
11. Winners to provide Gagasi FM with a copy of their bar-coded Identity Document sent to the station via e-mail.
12. No entries by post or any other form will be accepted by Gagasi FM.
13. Gagasi FM reserves the right to disqualify any entrant suspected of fraud, cheating including without limitation through the manipulation of codes or otherwise falsifying data.
14. Entries which contain errors will be invalid.
15. Any entries received after the competition moment will not be eligible to participate in the competition, regardless of the reason for the late entry.
16. Gagasi FM is not liable for any technical failure that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.
17. You will be disqualified if:
• You are under the age of 18 at the time of entering the competition
• You have won a competition conducted by Radio iGagasi 99.5FM (Pty) Ltd in the past three months.
