DURBAN, South Africa — Gagasi FM, The Sound of KZN, has closed off Women’s Month 2026 with a powerful and inspiring recording, Women To Women Conversations, recorded in the heart of Durban.
The conversation brought together six bold, fierce and phenomenal women from across media, entertainment, culinary arts and finance for an honest, unfiltered exchange on womanhood, resilience, purpose and the personal journeys that have shaped their lives and careers. The initiative was driven by one clear purpose: to inspire, empower and pave the way for the next generation of women.
The conversation was facilitated by Luyanda Khambule, a South African radio presenter, voice-over artist and master of ceremonies widely recognised as one of KwaZulu-Natal’s leading on-air personalities at Gagasi FM.
Meet The Panel
The panel brought together five remarkable women, each with a distinct story of triumph and reinvention:
Thobeka Ndwandwe — A South African actress, singer, podcast personality and digital content creator known as “Blackndiya.” She rose to national prominence for her portrayal of Olwethu Khumalo on the SABC1 soap opera Uzalo.
Ameigh Thompson — A South African reality television star, actress, radio host and media personality, best known for her breakout role as a cast newcomer on Season 4 of the hit Showmax reality series The Real Housewives of Durban(RHOD).
Chef Thuladu Mngadi — A celebrated South African culinary entrepreneur, master chef and the founding visionary behind the award-winning food brand Fresh Food with Thuladu (Fresh Food Daily). Her journey from surviving corporate retrenchment to running a premium flagship restaurant at Durban’s iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium has made her an inspirational figure in the South African culinary landscape.
Lwandle Masoka — A South African radio presenter, media professional, digital creator and philanthropist, best known as an on-air personality at Gagasi FM, where she anchors the weekend dawn show Early Risers.
Bawinile Gwala — A South African Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)), financial manager, youth leadership advocate and digital content creator. Known online as “iCorporate Girlie yaseThekwini” (Durban’s Corporate Girl), she has built a prominent profile combining financial expertise with professional influencer storytelling.
Together, these women unpacked their personal backgrounds, lived experiences, challenges and triumphs, revealing the stories behind the careers — and the women — they have become today. From navigating public scrutiny to rebuilding after setbacks, each guest brought a distinct and deeply personal perspective to the table.
Women To Women Conversations is more than a conversation. It is a significant exchange of women, by women, for women — a moment of honesty, solidarity and shared purpose designed to resonate long after the cameras stopped rolling.
