Gagasi FM Hosts Imbuyiselo Academy Primary School on a Radio Tour

This morning, we opened our doors to the bright young minds of Imbuyiselo Academy Primary School.

This extraordinary opportunity allowed the students to step into the world of radio with the guidance of radio personalities Felix Hlophe and Minnie Ntuli. The result? An unforgettable day filled with insightful moments, learning experiences, and boundless inspiration.

The Imbuyiselo Academy Primary School is a school which is known for its dedication to providing quality education to the children in KwaZulu-Natal Province. Through initiatives like these, they aim to broaden the horizons of their learners and show them the endless possibilities that await them in the world.

 

As the sun rose over Durban, excitement buzzed through the corridors of our head quarter. The young students, accompanied by their teachers and chaperones, eagerly arrived at the radio station. Their eyes sparkled with curiosity as they were recieved by Felix Hlophe and Minnie Ntuli, two beloved radio hosts who have been entertaining abashana every morning on the Uprising.

The Radio Tour

The day began with an informative tour of the Gagasi FM studios. The learners got to see behind the scenes of a live radio broadcast, from the control room to the on-air studio. The technical equipment, soundproof walls, and the hustle and bustle of radio production fascinated by our very own on-air talent. Felix Hlophe and Minnie Ntuli, well-known for their charisma and passion for their craft, took the time to explain the intricacies of radio broadcasting to the students. They emphasized the importance of skills, creativity, and teamwork, providing the kids with valuable insights into the world of broadcasting and advertisement on radio .

Interactive Sessions

One of the highlights of the moment was an interactive session where the learners had the chance to sing with Minnie Ntuli. They took turns singing into the microphone, introducing songs, and even conducting imaginary interviews. The joy on their faces as they experienced the magic of radio was a sight to behold.

Educational 

The visit wasn’t just about fun and games; it was also an educational experience. The children learned about the power of storytelling through radio, the impact of sound effects, and the importance of being well-informed about current events. As the tour came to a close, the children from Imbuyiselo Academy Primary School left Gagasi FM with smiles on their faces and a newfound appreciation for the world of radio. This experience was a remarkable experience to the power of mentorship and the positive impact it can have on young minds.
