  1. Before you enter the presenter search please read terms and conditions below:
  2. By entering the presenter search and/or accepting any prize (if you are a winner), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  3. The outcome of the presenter search is subject to the decision of the judge, presenter or organizer of the presenter search, whose decision is final. No negotiations and or correspondence will be entered into after the fact.
  4. Participants / listeners enter into and take part in the presenter search at their own risk and Radio iGagasi 99.5FM (Pty) Ltd bears no responsibility for any loss, damage or harm suffered as a result of participation in any of Radio iGagasi 99.5FM (Pty) Ltd’s competition.
  5. The Gagasi FM Presenter Search is brought to you by Gagasi FM. The presenter search starts at 00:00 on Monday, 8 September 2025, and ends at 23:59 on Wednesday, 17 September 2025.
  6. The presenter search is looking for a presenter who will host the podcast called Elevate on the Gagasi FM YouTube page.
  7. To enter the presenter search, listeners must download and register on the Gagasi FM app, then record a 1-minute demo video presenting on any topic, send the video on the “Message the studio,” with their contact details and the hashtag #GFMRisingStar to the Gagasi FM App.
  8. The presenter search is open to South African residents between 18 to 35 years, who are fluent in both isiZulu and English.
  9. The internal station judging panel will shortlist possible candidates until they have the Top 5 candidates. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
  10. The shortlisted Top 5 candidate entry videos will be open for public voting from 26th of September 2025 to the 29th of September 2025, public voting closes at 4pm. The public voting will take place via the Gagasi FM Facebook page, and voting choices will be recorded by the “Like” or “Heart” reaction on the Top 5 videos. Public votes constitute 30% of the overall final judging (which will be audited), and the internal judging process will constitute 70% of the final decision. The winning presenter will be announced on Friday, the 3rd of October 2025.
  11. The winning presenter will be awarded the following prize: A 12-month contract (Independent Contractor) with Gagasi FM and a R5000 cash prize.
  12. Winners will be notified telephonically, and the judge’s decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  13. The Prize is not transferable to another person.
  14. The winning presenter will need to provide Gagasi FM with a copy of their bar-coded Identity Document or birth certificate, and banking details.
  15. Gagasi FM reserves the right to disqualify any entrant suspected of fraud, cheating including without limitation through the manipulation of codes or otherwise falsifying data.
  16. Entries which contain errors will be invalid.
  17. Any entries received after the presenter search has ended will not be eligible to participate in the presenter search, regardless of the reason for the late entry.
  18. Gagasi FM is not liable for any technical failure that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.
  19. You will be disqualified if:
    • You are under the age of 18 at the time of entering the presenter search
