SA Google Director, Alistair Mokoena, says the company will exclude SA crime hotspots in their navigation app.
This as Tourism Minister Patricia De Lille signed an agreement with tech giant, Google which will provide safe routes for tourists visiting South Africa.
Mokoena says they are not only basing the app on tourists who are out of the country but anyone who is a visitor at a certain location.
He further adds that there will be places that are noted to be unsafe which they will make sure that they are not used as routes by tourists.
