The Afrotainment star Ornica Bellz & Zee Nxumalo deliver a vibey Gqom anthem for club lovers!

Afrotainment powerhouse Ornica Bellz teams up with chart-topping sensation Zee Nxumalo for their highly anticipated new single “Inkomishi“, produced by Goldmax, OUT NOW on all major digital platforms.

“Inkomishi” – meaning “Cup” – is a vibey, infectious Gqom offering made for club lovers and Gqom faithfuls. The song tells a relatable twist of unrequited love: a guy wants a girl, only to find out the girl wants his friend instead. As Ornica sings on the hook, “Zaphambana Inkomishi” – meaning the unexpected has happened.

OUT NOW!

The single was born in the studio with long-time collaborator Goldmax. After laying her hook and verse, Goldmax insisted they needed a powerful feature. Two days later he called Ornica with a plan: “Let’s go to Johannesburg and get Zee Nxumalo on the song.”

I was so shocked and didn’t know what to say. I was like ‘Okay let’s go‘,” Ornica recalls. “At that point I had no money to book flights for the Johannesburg trip from Durban but I made a plan and we managed to get the flight tickets which cost me like R6500. We got to JHB and Zee Nxumalo was so nice to me, she was really hands on at the recording session. I loved working with her.”

While this marks their first official single together, the pair were no strangers. Ornica, who is also a makeup artist on the side, has done Zee’s makeup countless times before. The chemistry was instant – so much so that they now have two songs together, with the second track featured on Woza Bakzin & Goldmax’s current album “Gqom In Black” and the single titled Cosh’uPin.

About The Artist

Ornica Bellz, real name Ornica Dasi, was born in the Eastern Cape, Mthatha, and moved to Durban straight after high school to study. A few years down the line she joined a church choir and later a dance agency owned by Ammy. That led her to become DJ Tira’s dancer – the moment her life started to change.

From dancing, Ornica moved into the booth, recording in the studio and never looking back. She has since been featured on projects with DJ Tira, Goldmax, Dladla Mshunqisi, Beast, and Mr Thela, and is now stepping fully into her own as a vocalist.

On working with Goldmax, she shares: “Working with Goldmax is the best because he is always hands-on with the session and he also helps you with writing and he knows what works for the people. He also gives you space to be creative in your own way and lastly he is very funny and the session always has its own memories.”

Her journey with Afrotainment spans over 5 years: “I started as a dancer now I am a full grown artist and I am happy working with Afrotainment. DJ Tira has really shown me a lot of support and love and also he always advises me about the industry.

Was the move from dancer to vocalist always the plan? “Yes it has always been the plan but at times I felt I was not ready but now I am ready to take in everything that is coming.”

“Inkomishi” is the lead single to a bigger project. Ornica is planning to release a 6-track EP before the end of this year, expected around October or early next year.

Beyond the music, Ornica shares a personal note: “I love my son Alakhe very much and everything that I am doing I am doing for him to live a better and comfortable life.”

“Inkomishi” by Ornica Bellz & Zee Nxumalo (Prod. Goldmax) is NOW available for streaming and download on today, Friday, 11 September 2026 on all digital platforms.
