Police Minister, Bheki Cele, has announced that the ministry of police is currently working on a process to reinstate members of a special task force unit who have left.
The minister says at least 58 members of the elite special task force are now working for private security companies across the country.
These members were trained by SAPS at a cost of millions of rands over the years.
Minister Cele says they are planning on recruiting these members and detectives back to SAPS, promising better packages.
