Believe it or not, Snoop Dogg 52, the multi-hyphenate for his music and love of cannabis, said he has stopped smoking the herb.
‘After much consideration & conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke,’ the rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr., posted on Instagram and X, formerly known as Twitter. Snoop continued, ‘Please respect my privacy at this time.’

Snoop Dogg rose to fame in 1992 with his feature on Dr. Dre’s debut solo single, “Deep Cover,” followed by his contributions to Dre’s debut solo album, ‘The Chronic.;
Since his emergence on the music scene, Snopp has sold over 23 million albums in the United States and 35 million worldwide.
His achievements include an American Music Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and 17 Grammy Award nominations.
Users flocked to the comments, asking if it was a delayed April Fools’ Joke or if he decided to switch from flowers to edibles to give his lungs a rest.
Since his career started nearly 30 years ago, Snoop has consistently been linked to cannabis. It’s referenced in his lyrics, he reportedly smoked before hitting the Super Bowl LVI stage, and his cooking show with Martha Stewart on VH1 involves weed. He even guest starred in ‘Half Baked,’ a film about a group of stoners.
It’s unclear whether Snoop is giving up weed altogether or just quitting smoking, but in the end, a Dogg’s gotta do what a Dogg’s gotta do.
Another one! Meek Mill reveals he will be following Snoop Dogg and will quit smoking. He tweeted,
“I’ma go to Dubai and completely stop smoking … I’ma follow snoop, my doctor said I got a lil bit emphysema in a chest if I don’t stop smoking it cuts my lifeline in half, I was addicted to the nicotine, and this new weed got too many chemicals and too risky to play with my mental!”
This could be a joke, but we are far from April Fools. It could also be that he’s moved to edibles.
