Lamontville Golden Arrows will be looking to end their ten game losing streak in the PSL against the opponents they last tasted victory against, Kaizer Chiefs. Amakhosi will welcome Abafana besithende at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday, with both sides looking to turn the corner after recent poor results.
Amakhosi will run out in their second home match in a row, which includes a goalless draw against Soweto rivals Moroka Swallows in the league and a humiliating Nedbank Cup defeat at the hands of Motsepe Foundation Championship side Milford FC. Cavin Johnson’s men will be searching for their first win of 2024, which could provide a much needed boost for the Naturena side as they approach the Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates on Saturday.
Arrows go into the clash at the back of horrendous form losing ten consecutive matches in all competitions, a run that started with a 3-0 Carling Knockout defeat to AmaZulu FC in November last year. The last time Mabhuti Khenyeza and his troops tasted victory was against Chiefs, a 2-1 victory at home which was their seventh win in 10 matches as they started the season like a house on fire before things turned pear shaped. Abafana besithende will certainly look to turn their fortunes against a struggling Amakhosi side.
Match will take place at the FNB Stadium, Kick-off 19:30
